A Testimony of Grace.

Ten Years of ONE39 Central 15 August 2016 — 15 August 2026.

In loving honour of Desiree & Peter Groenewald. My father and my mother.

For ten years I have carried this story quietly. Today, for the first time, I want to tell it openly, not as a company announcement, but as a testimony.

I am the youngest of 3 children. My dear sisters, Adele and Olivia. This 10th anniversary of ONE39 Central is more than a business milestone. It is a moment of honour. Firstly, to God, who instituted this work and asked only that I steward it faithfully and to my parents, Peter and Desiree Groenewald, whose love, sacrifice and covering carried me long before there was anything to show for it.

I honour my mother, Desiree, who today lives with vascular dementia and is under my care. There is a quiet grace in this season that I am able, in some small measure, to help carry the one who first carried me. And I honour my father, Peter, who went to be with the Lord on 26 July 2020, after cancer. His passing left a void, in my mother’s heart and in ours as a family, that has never fully closed but the love my parents poured into me did not pass away. It became part of the foundation on which everything since has been built.

How It Began

ONE39 Central was established on 15 August 2016. Not out of abundance, but out of faith. I began with nothing the world could measure. No laptop, no money, no leads, no client. Yet what looked like nothing in the natural, God took as soil and in it He began to plant purpose. The name itself is a testimony. ONE39 is drawn from Psalm 139 and I would invite anyone reading this to go and read that Psalm for themselves. It holds the truth this whole journey rests on. That God sees us, knows us, forms us, leads us and remains present in every hidden and uncertain place, even the ones no one else can see.

The business was founded on a promise. On that very August day in 2016, before I opened my laptop as a young entrepreneur, the Lord Himself gave me Isaiah 41:10 to stand on.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10

I have needed that promise more times than I can count.

The Covering of Home

In those first uncertain years, I was living under my parents’ roof. That roof was more than shelter, it was a covering. It was Home. A home I was born in. When I had nothing to offer but obedience, my mother and father stood with me in ways words can never fully capture. They believed in what could not yet be seen. They carried me through the seasons when the outcome was invisible and only the seed had been sown.

If not for the two of them carrying me from 2016 onward, through the unseen beginnings, the lean years, and the long wait. I would not be standing today to see the fruit that is finally becoming visible. This milestone is as much theirs as it is mine. It always will be.

What God Was Doing

Somewhere in those years, the Lord began to lead me out of the rat race and into a different way of living. He taught me that fruit does not always come from striving, but from obedience. Not only from working, but from serving. Not only from chasing success, but from faithfully sowing with purpose. He has been the one constant. I have walked through many seasons, and I have not always remained steady, BUT He has. Through my failures, my mistakes, the challenges and the slow, humbling work of learning to build relationships well, He kept strengthening me, helping me, upholding me, correcting me and changing me.

That is what made the difference. This was never merely a job, a task, or a lead to chase. It became a calling. The privilege of serving others with honesty and integrity, while God patiently changed me in the process. And that the Gospel could be brought forth into the corporate world.

Today, as ONE39 Central celebrates ten years, I do so with deep humility. I honour my parents, Peter and Desiree Groenewald, for the foundation they gave me, a foundation of love, faith and sacrifice that no achievement could ever repay.

I honour the Lord Jesus Christ, who led me, sustained me, and remained faithful even when I was not and I honour every person who has crossed the path of this business. Every client, colleague, partner and friend. Every connection, every conversation, every act of support and every opportunity has become part of this testimony. Thank you.

To The Team

And to the ones who stand with me now. THE ONE39 Central team. This milestone belongs to you too. Thank you for standing by me, through the seasons that asked far more of you than any job description ever could. You carry this work not only with skill but with heart, not only with diligence but with faith. In a world that can so easily grow cold, you have chosen to be light, steady, warm and true and that has made all the difference.

You have lived out what this business was always meant to be. Every early morning, every long day, every detail held with care, every kindness shown to a client or to one another. It has all mattered, and none of it has gone unseen. You have made ONE39 Central not merely a company, but a place where faith is restored and lived and not only spoken.

To all those who have come before and to those who are with me today. Rheta, Leroy, Laylee, Savanah, Lifa, and the late Jaci Harrison, as well as to our young professionals team. To each of you who gave and now, who gives your days to this work, you are, in many ways, an answer to prayers I prayed before I even knew your names. I do not take a single one of you for granted. I thank God for you, and I thank you for choosing to walk this road with me. May the light you carry never dim.

To Our Clients and Partners

To every client who trusted us with their vision, and every supplier and partner who stood alongside us to bring it to life, thank you. Across these ten years, you have been far more than business to us. You have been the very relationships through which this testimony was written. We have never taken your trust lightly, and we never will, because this milestone is, at its heart, a story about family, allow me to leave you with a personal word.

If you are blessed to still have your mother or your father or both. Treasure them. Phone them, thank them, forgive them, sit with them a while longer than you had planned to. I have learned, in tender and costly ways, how precious that gift is and how quietly the seasons change and if you are a parent yourself, take heart. The love you are pouring out today, often unseen, often unthanked, is a foundation being laid in someone’s life. One day it will bear fruit you may never fully see but it is never wasted.

May your homes be full of love, your families be strong, and may the God who has been so faithful to us be near to you and yours in every season.

The Seed and the Fruit

What began as a seed has become a testimony and I believe there is still much more fruit to come.

May the next chapter of ONE39 Central be built, as the first was, on service, faith, purpose and gratitude. To the glory of the God who saw me before anyone else did and who has been faithful every step of the way.
